The Logan-Rogersville School District has made history once again by successfully breaking its second Guinness World Record. On April 24 of this year, the district set out to smash the existing record for the World’s Largest Game of Follow the Leader, and after months of anticipation, the Guinness World Records organization has officially confirmed the feat. more
Third grade students at Seymour Elementary enjoyed a special guest and book reading on September 18th. Emma Alexander, local farmer from Fordland and member of the Webster County Farm Bureau Board stopped by to share the book “Farm Boots” with students and visit with them about each type of boots they have worn. Students were encouraged to wear boots for the day to compare with friends. more

This Saturday morning, festival goers will have an additional breakfast option before taking in the attractions on the square. Webster Lodge is hosting the “Harvest Days Breakfast” from 7am to 11am at the Masonic Temple 256 East Washington. The brethren are serving two options, biscuits and gravy or sausage and pancakes, with coffee or tea for the ridiculously low price of $5. Dine in and take out options will be available. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the masonic building fund to aid in finishing the costly roof repairs received from hail earlier this year. The brothers want to give a big “Thank You!” for the continuing support the community has shown. more
