Let Freedom Ring!

Posted

The Seymour Community Development Association held a Let Freedom Ring Celebration Saturday, June 15 for family-oriented fun for all ages. Hundreds showed up to celebrate the event, which featured a car show, entertainment, food, fireworks and more.

“We do this event for the community, it is a fundraiser but we when we do raise money, we give it back through beautification in the community,” said Seymour Commuinity Development Association Vice President Renne Davidson, who played a large hand in organizing the event. “It was just amazing this year. We had a few thousand people show up and all of the food vendors had lines through the evening. We’re glad so many came out and enjoyed themselves.”

The day was filled with activities including a car show around the square followed by a golf cart and UTV parade around the square, ending at South Park where the remaining festivities took place. The park was full of family fun with a kids zone of bounce houses, a fiddle contest, food vendors and a firework show to end the evening.
