Last Tuesday, Nov 22, just before Thanksgiving break, the students of Webster Elementary gathered for their first quarter Soaring BlueJays Assembly. This assembly is held in honor of students chosen by teachers who demonstrate academic excellence or leadership skills. Twenty-nine students were given a red carpet walk with awards, cheer from the assembly, a certificate, and 3D printed dog tags.
Students selected for the Soaring Jays program were not the only ones to receive an award during the assembly. In addition, one class for each grade received a trophy for best attendance.
The winner for best attendance in 2nd grade with 96 percent was Mrs. Courtney Kelsay's class.
The winner for best attendance in 3rd grade with 98 percent was Mrs. Jana Greenfield's class.
The Soaring Blue Jays' assembly will be held at the end of each quarter to honor the classes and students who continue to excel. So keep reading the Marshfield Mail as we celebrate the future leaders from Webster Elementary.
