The gears are turning for the Strafford Robotics team.
The 2023-2024 season of robotic competition whirled up in November, and already Strafford is 10-0 in conference and ranked 6th overall out of 25 teams in Southwest Missouri.
Strafford also had the honor of hosting two of the meets in their FEMA gym, one on Dec. 9, which saw eight teams compete, and another on Dec. 16, with 14 teams in that competition.
Funding for competitions is not always easy for schools, so partnerships greatly help teams compete in FIRST.
"We are excited to work with and be sponsored by CNH," said Chris Peterson, Coach of the Strafford High School Robotic Team. "This partnership has grown this year, which is why we are wearing Red as our Robot colors this season. This partnership has allowed our students to work with engineers from CASE and see a different side of robotics in a manufacturing environment."
The robotic competition is nearing its end. After the winter break, Strafford is heading up to Rolla on Jan. 18. Then it is on to the league championship on Feb. 3, which will be held at Drury University.
