Posted

It’s hook time again!

Webster Lodge #98 is hosting its 24th annual Pulling for the Kids Truck and Tractor Pull this Saturday, June 1st. The event will take place at the Webster County Fairgrounds, gates open at 5 p.m.

This year’s funds will again be distributed through direct donations to the backpack programs for Marshfield and Niangua School Districts.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 ages 6-12, ages 5 and under FREE. Refreshments will be served on site, with Bro. Mike Schroeder as grillmaster.

“Last year we were able to raise enough money to fund the Niangua Backpack Program, almost in its entirety,” said Lodge Master Pat Blinzler. “We also gave a sizable chunk to Marshfield’s program, we hope to exceed that this year and so far we are off to a great start! Our sponsors have really stepped up this year, it just enables us to put on a good show and raise more for the kids.”

With matching funds available, through the Masonic Home, masonic lodges in Missouri are able to double or triple the amount raised on behalf of a qualifying 501C-3. Recently, Webster Lodge utilized this program to raise funds for The Forgotten Initiative and Parents as Teachers.

Blinzler added, “This is a family friendly event, we want everyone to come out, eat a wood grilled burger and enjoy the show!"
