The Marshfield High School boys soccer team didn’t exactly blow through its two opponents last week, but did manage to collect a pair of wins.

The soccer Jays traveled to Springfield Tuesday night, Sept. 19, to face Greenwood and escaped with a 2-1 win on penalty kicks.

The result was very similar when the Marshfield boys traveled a little farther west Thursday night to face Aurora. The Blue Jays needed two overtime periods, but pulled out a 2-1 decision over the Houn' Dawgs.

After a Tuesday rematch at home with Bolivar (the Blue Jays won a Sept. 5 clash, 3-2 in two OTs), the Marshfield boys will travel to Fair Grove this Thursday, then host New Covenant Academy next Monday, Oct. 2.
