April was a musical month for schools, as it was time for the District and State Music Festivals. Fordland, Marshfield, and Logan-Rogersville received numerous exemplary ratings at the District festival on April 11. more
Marshfield Seniors have been finishing their senior projects for the last few months. These projects have ranged from concerts, diaper drives, 5k runs, and many others focusing on improving themselves, the school, or the community. One senior has wrapped up her project with incredible success. more

The Marshfield FFA Chapter and Booster club held its annual Career Development Event (CDE) on Mar. 18. Over 1,800 students from over 80 schools throughout the state were registered to compete in this competition. Events included Ag Mechanics, Agronomy, Dairy and Livestock Judging, Dairy Foods, Soils Evaluation, Entomology, Nursery and Landscaping, Floriculture, Forestry, Meats Evaluation, Poultry, and a variety of leadership events such as Ag Sales, FFA Knowledge, and Public Speaking. more
On Feb. 23 through 25, the Marshfield High School presented the play "The Boys Next Door." The play was first put on in the spring of 2000 when a young drama teacher named Greg Holtschneider came to teach in Marshfield. I had the opportunity to attend a performance and was very impressed. Before I start, I do want to mention there will be some spoilers about the play. more

The Marshfield Girls Swim Team went to Monnett last Friday, Jan. 27, where they competed against other schools in the Big 8 Championships. more
On Jan. 11, 2023, one student was surprised when presented with a new mechanical wheelchair. It was made possible by a local organization called TLC Student Funds, which paid the insurance deductible to purchase the wheelchair. more
Saturday, Jan. 28, was a big day for robot fans. It was the FIRST Tech Challenge League Tournament. 28 schools from all over Missouri and Kansas participated, with the top five moving on to the Missouri Kansas Championship on Mar. 4, 2023. Two of the team hoping for a spot was non-other than Strafford's varsity team, Arrow Flight, and Freshman team Broken Arrow. more

Hitting the courts twice this week was the Logan-Rogersville Ladycats. Their first game of the week was against Central on Tuesday, Jan 3. That game saw the Ladycats roar to victory, with a final score against Central 64-43. more

The Marshfield Lady Jays swim team hosted Marshfield Open in Seymour on January 3, 2023. The meet welcomed seven teams with West Plains taking first followed by Monett, Lebanon, Marshfield, Waynesville, Camdenton and Seymour. more
