The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back a beloved community tradition with this year’s Breakfast with Santa, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. The event will take place at the WebsterElementary/Junior High FEMA Building at 660 North Locust in Marshfield. This event is open to children from prekindergarten through fifth grade. more
The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a full day of Christmas festivities as the Marshfield Christmas Parade and Christmas Market return to the Square on Saturday, December 6. The celebration will begin with the Christmas Market from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Marshfield Square at 101 South Crittenden, followed by the Christmas Parade at 5 p.m. more
The planned closure of Route A in Diggins has been rescheduled as work continues on the U.S. Route 60, Route A, and Route Z interchange improvement project between Diggins and Fordland. The Missouri Department of Transportation announced that the closure of Webster County Route A just north of Normandy Road will now take place from December 1 through December 10. The work was originally scheduled for November 10 through November 20 but was postponed because of weather. more
The Logan-Rogersville Board of Education accepted the retirement of Assistant Superintendent Jennifer Katzin at its October 15, 2025, meeting. Dr. Katzin will retire at the conclusion of her 2025-2026 contract, marking the end of a remarkable 29-year career in education. more

Greg “H” Holtschneider, longtime Marshfield educator and debate coach, has been inducted into the Speech and Theatre Association of Missouri (STAM) Hall of Fame. Widely known to generations of Blue Jays simply as “H,” Holtschneider’s name now joins the ranks of the state’s most influential speech, debate, and theatre educators. more

On Thursday, Sept. 25, the Marshfield Mail hosted its annual Breast Cancer Awareness conversation at Southern Charmed Boutique, an evening created in partnership with Hometown Supplements and Southern Charmed to honor local survivors and to talk candidly about the realities of breast cancer. Three local women, Teresa Meizler, Brenda Crawford, and Melanie Fraker, sat shoulder to shoulder and, with remarkable grace, traced their journeys from diagnosis through treatment and into the long, often overlooked season of recovery. more
