When you hear the term dog rescue what does that conjure up? Once upon a time the term dog rescue would make you think of a last resort for broken or discarded dogs. The rescue landscape has transformed drastically over the years. Today, we can safely say that defining rescue dogs as inferior has been debunked, paving the way for a more accurate understanding of some of the really great dogs available filling our rescues either in shelters or foster based programs.

Every year, the Missouri Farmers Care Foundation and Missouri 4-H collaborate to educate and raise public awareness of food insecurity in families. To bring that awareness, 4-H clubs all around the state participate in a competition called 4-H Feeding Missouri every spring. The competition includes food drives, collecting donations, and volunteering in local food pantries. Between community service and friendly competitions, this partnership helps combat hunger statewide.
