Webster County soccer teams have wrapped up the second week of soccer for the 2023 season. The Marshfield Blue Jays visited Springfield Catholic on their home turf Thursday, Mar. 23. After two quarters of passing and kicking, the contest winner was Springfield Catholic with a final score of 3-1. Junior Calli Watson scored the only goal for Marshfield. The Bluejays would then defend their home from Lebanon on Monday, Mar. 27. The final score was 6-3, with Juniors Anna Offutt scoring one goal and Calli Watson scoring the other five.
On the other end of the county, the L-R Wildcats took on the Fair Grove Eagles on Tuesday, Mar. 21. The game ended with the home team reigning, 9-0. The Wildcats match versus the Republic Tigers was moved up to Wednesday, Mar. 22 due to rain. L-R gave it their best shot, but fell short to Republic with a final score of 3-0.
