Rounding up the year

The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce received $10,000. It was represented by Chamber members Rob Jones, Vice President (Left), Rachel Andrews, Chamber Coordinator (Right), and Paul Sheppard, Chamber Member. (Far Right). The funds will be used to purchase new Christmas Lights.

Niangua TLC received a grant for $10,000 and was represented by Dr. David Baker, Superintendant for Nianagua Schools (Left), Judy Aswad, President (Right), and Charity Stuber Treasurer (Far Right). The funds will be used to make concrete ramps and upgrade the sidewalks at the school.

Newborns in Need received a grant of $3,000; they were represented by Dorothy Locke, Vice President (Left), and Pamela Mayer, Secretary (Right). The funds will be used to purchase fabric used to make handmade swaddling cloths and blankets.

The Rogersville Area Senior Center received a grant of $13,700. They were represented by board members Dana Baughman (Left), Liz Johnston (Center), and Jim Kidder (Right). The funds will be used to replace the lighting in the Senior Center.

The last recipients of the night were the Webster County Nursing Home District, also known as Webco. They were represented by Lisa Henderson, head of the dietary department (Center), and Shawna Jones, Human Resources (Right). They received a check for $20,000, which will be used to purchase a stove.

On Nov. 2, Webster Electric Co-Op wrapped up the 2023 year with its fourth quarter round-up grant distribution meeting. Closing out this quarter, Webster Electric gave $67,642.50 to local non-profits to aid in their various projects.

For the year 2023, Webster Electric Co-Op, through the Round-Up Grant, distributed a total of $148,333,95.
