Local FFA Chapters Win at State Convention

Local FFA Chapters boarded big yellow busses and made way to State Convention in Columbia, MO last week.  Both Niangua and Marshfield FFA Chapters saw success at state. 

Niangua FFA Chapter competed in three different areas; agronomy, floriculture, and dairy cattle. Along with some students who competed in Chapter Scrapbook, FFA Choir, and one competitor for Star Farmer. Marshfield took teams to compete in Forestry, Entomology, Ag Mechanics, Soils, Ag Management, Nursery Landscaping and  FFA Knowledge. Both schools had students applying for state degree. 

Niangua won: Lila Wantland—State Winner in Dairy Entrepreneurship as well as receiving the award for Area 10 Star Farmer

The following students from Niangua received their state degree: Ryan Dudley, Lila Wantland and Brooke Deckard.

Marshfield won: Second place in State Foresty, 10 place in Ag Management and 7 place in Entomology along with several other awards and placements.

The following students from Marshfield received their state degree: Haley Dawley, Haley Barker, Sam Pruitt, Remington Trout, Wyatt Hathcock, Megan Lowe and Isabella Herrera.
