The Marshfield Farmers Market came to a close on Friday, Oct. 29 with vendors offering Halloween candy for kids in costume during the final event of the season. Despite the dreary wind and rain, the market had a steady stream of customers through the late afternoon.
“This year has been our best market ever, averaging between 20 and 25 vendors every week,” said Farmers Market President Katie Miller. “Even though our market is smaller, it does have a fantastic variety.”
The Marshfield Farmers Market offers two local cheese vendors, one cow and one goat cheese. Vendors include, honey, apples, a vast display of vegetables, kettle corn, fresh beef, pig, rabbit and more.
“We want to say thank you to our customers for supporting these vendors all year,” she added. “We do have wonderful customers. We’re not getting rich doing it but we sure have a good time and we sure love our customers.”
The market will return full swing on the last Friday of April. However, there will be select winter market dates.
