Nice warm weather is making the flowers bloom abundantly. Everything is leafing out with plenty of rain to help, but we don’t need the storms it brings when the jet stream changes. Usually it is raining and stormy on Memorial Day weekend. Hope all have a safe and nice weekend together with family or vacation or whatever, as it was made mostly to remember our veterans who died for our freedom for our country.
Don’t forget class reunions coming up. On May 29, the class of 1951 will meet at the Twilight Church at 1:30 p.m. The class of 1956 meets on June 1 at the Rocking Chair, and the Morgan reunion will be June 8 all at Conway. What a busy week. Retired Teachers will meet May 31 at noon at the Rocking Chair in Conway.
Red Hatters will meet June 7 at Burger King in Marshfield at 11:30 a.m. (It’s new to the area.)
Get-well wishes and a speedy recovery to the Bob Dean and Ella Burns family as he had a stroke with 70 percent blockage. We will be holding on with hopes and prayers for his recovery. He always helped my dad haul cattle if needed.
The Dave Perryman Band will be playing at Conway Community Center’s Steel Guitar Show May 25 at Star Theatre in Willow Springs.
Let me know if you have any news.
Blessings to all until next week.
