Spring Cleaning in Marshfield

Posted

It is that time of year again as the City of Marshfield will be holding its annual city-wide Spring Clean. The event will start this week on May 11 through May 13, then again on May 18 through May 20.

Marshfield citizens living in the city are encouraged to participate in this free event by bringing their unwanted items and junk to the Webster County Fairgrounds on 640 N. Marshall Street. Dumpsters will be there on-site, and anyone participating must show photo ids.

“It is a good opportunity for our citizens to be able to get rid of some trash and to be able to keep up with some property maintenance that maybe they would not be able to throughout the year,” said Marshfield City Administrator Sam Rost.

The following items will be accepted at the dumpsters:

Trash, Batteries, Heating or Cooking Stoves, Air Conditioners, Computer Accessories, Electronics, Water Heaters, Appliances with no freon, Tillers, Weed Trimmers, and much more.

Citizens need to be aware that not everything will be accepted at the dumpsters; this includes the following: Tires, TVs, Computer Monitors, Grass Clippings, Roofing Shingles, Refrigerators, or appliances that contain freon, and Paint Cans.

Thursday, May 11, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
