Springfield Business Journal’s Man of the Year honorees were announced last week and the list includes Marshfield’s Sam Rost.

Rost is the City Administrator and has served the City of Marshfield in that position for the last three years.

“During the short time we have worked together, I have found his knowledge, empathy, perseverance, patience, and candor to be just a short list of qualities that make him a great leader,” said Marshfield Mayor Natalie McNish in congratulating Rost. “… It’s his family values, desire to serve others, and his foundation of faith that make him an award winner in my book. I’m very happy to see others acknowledge these qualities and his many contributions to our city.”

The SBJ’s Men of the Year consists of 20 businessmen throughout the Springfield region who exhibits success in professional, philanthropic and civic contributions in their communities.

Honorees will be recognized at the Men of the Year event, planned for April 18. SBJ partnered with nonprofit Abilities First to help raise funds for its programs serving Greene County individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
