Logan-Rogersville graduates 184

Logan-Rogersville sent out a new group of freshly graduated Wildcats into the world Sunday, May 14. The commencement ceremony took place at Drury University’s O’Reilly Family Event Center, graduating 184 students.

The ceremony began with a welcome from LRHS Principal Dr. Teresa McKenzie, followed by a performance of Phil Collins’ “On My Way” and the school song by the Senior Ensemble. Seniors Logan Cook and Veronica Yerina were the commencement speakers. Superintendent Dr. Shawn Randles addressed the students followed by a presentation of diplomas.

Rogersville’s class colors are maroon and white and their students were decorated with corresponding stole’s and cords for the ceremony.

The blue pendant stole and rainbow cord represented a student’s membership of the National Honors Society. A blue and white cord was worn by students of DECA. Silver cords were worn by A+ Scholarship recipients and a light blue cord was worn by Student Council members. FBLA state and national qualifiers were decorated with blue and gold cords. Key Club members wore blue and gold pins.

Rogersville Class Officers are President Madyson Stewart, Vice President Veronika Yerina, Second Vice President Logan Cook, Secretary Emma Grace Carroll, Treasurer Owen Young and Reporter Marley Svoboda. Student Council Officers are President Logan Cook, Vice President of Media and Marketing Marley Svoboda, Vice President of Ceremonies Easton Banks, Vice President of Treasury Lucas Hauer, and Vice President of Student Affairs Madyson Stewart.
