Library holds bookmark design contest

Posted

Create your own bookmark with the Webster County Library during the design-a-bookmark contest. The contest kicked off April 1 and the deadline for entries will be May 10.

"Last year was our first year and it was a pretty good turnout. We were trying to think of a way to get everyone involved and we had a lot of fun doing it," said Erin Baker, of the Webster County Library. "We love that kids and adults can come in and be creative and feel like they're a part of the library. Feel free to create your design here, we'll have copies ready!"

This year's theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library" and offers all participants a chance to showcase their imagination and creativity when composing their design.

The contest is separated into five age groups, as follows: 5-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds, 11-13 year olds, 13-17 year olds and adults.

One winner will be picked from each age group and the winning designs will be printed on full-color bookmarks available to pickup and be distributed at the Webster County Library and at various community events.
