Words to the Wise
September is National Senior Centers Month.
More than just a meal. Your local senior center can help with many things!
*Dining Room Meals
*Home Delivered Meals
*Medicare Benefits & Enrollment Counseling for Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, etc.
*Scam & Fraud Education (Senior Medicare Patrol- SMP)
*Elder abuse prevention (all employees are mandated reporters)
*Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE)
*Health & Wellness Programs
*Information & Assistance - We strive to find solutions to all senior-related needs
*Pension Rights (South Central Pension Rights Project)
*Anything else we can think of to keep seniors happy, healthy, and in their homes instead of the nursing home!
