Mar. 3 was a big night for the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats Boys Basketball as they prepared to take on the Hollister Tigers. Both teams going into the game had an impressive season with over 20 wins, but one of these felines would be district champions and move on to State. After four intense quarters, Logan-Rogersville would be crowned Champions with a final score of 53-40 against Hollister.
“I thought our guys did an excellent job of sticking to the game plan and staying composed in a loud, hostile environment.” told John Schaefer, head coach of the L-R Boys basketball coach. “Both teams battled throughout the contest and we were fortunate to make some big plays and get key stops down the stretch. Super proud of our teams effort and the L-R community support.”
The L-R Wildcats would then enter the State tournament on Mar. 6, where they took on Seneca; Wildcats won with a final score of 56-42.
Logan-Rogersville (26-3) will take on Father Tolton Regional Catholic (20-9) in the next round of the State tournament on Mar.10.
