Thousands set up camp along the parade route leading up to the Marshfield square Tuesday as the city celebrated its 144th Fourth of July parade. Since its first in 1879, the parade has brought hundreds of thousands of people to the area to celebrate the holiday. Dubbed “The longest-running July 4th parade west of the Mississippi”, the event is highly anticipated each years and draws massive attendance as we recognize our freedom and those who served to ensure it.
