Everett M. "Moose" Rollins

Everett M. "Moose" Rollins, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in his home in Springfield, Missouri.

His memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 11, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St., Springfield. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Nora, and by his brothers David, Edward, William and Donald.

Everett retired from Marshfield R-I School District after working many years as a paraprofessional educator, school bus driver and coach. Being a mentor for students was his passion.

He graduated in 1963 from Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he was an All-American football player and highly successful baseball player. He remained an avid sports fan — especially college football and softball — throughout his life.

Everett will be fondly remembered by his friends and family as a loving father and proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Clara; three daughters, Shannon, Tracy and Rebecca; two granddaughters, Emily and Lillabeth; two sisters, Betty and Donna Ann; two brothers, James and George; and several nieces and nephews.
