On August 21, 2026, the Webster County Democratic Club and Central Committee elected new officers. The incoming elected officials are Mikayla Hicks (Chair), Danny Hicks (Vice Chair), Kelly Haymes (Secretary), and Scott Day (Treasurer). They are set to begin their duties in January 2027. Outgoing officers are Joel Olsen ( Chair), Louise Hansen (Vice Chair), Dan Philbin (Treasurer), and Janet Wilson (Secretary.
Statement from Mikayla Hicks, Chair:
I am truly honored to have the opportunity to lead the Webster County Democrat Committee in 2027 and look forward to continuing the momentum we have been seeing in the county toward change and the betterment of the community. Together, we will bring that betterment to fruition.
This is a group of determined, empowered people working to support our local, state, and federal candidates by raising funds and attending public events to reach residents interested in learning more about their options in the upcoming election.
We have some work to do to make change a reality, and we would be so glad to have you at the table as we decide to help move this County and this Country into 2027 and beyond.
We are exceeding our goals to grow the Webster County Democratic Club, support our fantastic local candidates, and stay engaged with the community. We also hope to surpass our scholarship fund goals. The large turnout and enthusiasm of our club members will help propel Webster County toward a place where citizens can help one another live their best lives.
Vanessa Patricelli, RN, has previously worked at Webco, Cox South, and Walnut Lawn. Vanessa is currently working as a Union Organizer in the Pacific Northwest and will be sharing her experience in winning hard fights from the bedside to the halls of power.
