Families in Conway are getting ready for a pretty splashy way to kick off summer.
Connie Frost, president of Conway Community Days, said the town’s second annual water-themed event is set for May 30 and is designed to give kids — and honestly adults too — a fun afternoon once school is out.
The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the community building located at 102 West Madison in Conway.
There will be free carousel rides, a barrel train, water games, and a giant water gun battle area for kids to cool off and burn some energy. Organizers are also bringing back the foam machine that turned into one of the biggest hits last year.
Frost laughed while talking about it, saying adults probably had just as much fun as the kids once the foam started flying.
The local fire department will even help spray everyone down afterward.
