The sounds of banjos, fiddles, and harmony will once again echo across Conway as the 34th Annual Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival kicks off September 18–20, 2025. The three-day festival will bring some of the most recognized names in bluegrass to Webster County, alongside crowd favorites and local talent.
Festival organizer Aaron McDaris said this year’s lineup is one of the most exciting yet.
“We’re especially looking forward to having Rhonda Vincent & The Rage on Friday night and The Grascals on Saturday,” McDaris noted. “The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys will be here Thursday, filling a slot that opened up, and we’re really glad to have them. Ralph Stanley II will also be performing Thursday.”
Saturday’s schedule includes a special appearance by country-bluegrass artist Mo Pitney, as well as local guitarist John Meyer, from the well-known Meyer family. “That’s going to be a highlight for sure,” McDaris said. “And Leroy Troy, the ‘Sultan of Goodlettsville,’ will be here Friday. Folks might recognize him from the Marty Stuart Show. He’s a real entertainer.”
The music begins at 6 p.m. Thursday with Dixie Union, followed by Little Roy & Lizzy, Ralph Stanley II, and The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys. Friday’s slate starts at noon with the Dalton Harper Band and continues all day with performances by the Missouri River Band, Leroy Troy, Little Roy & Lizzy, and Rhonda Vincent & The Rage. Saturday kicks off at noon with Borderline and runs through the evening with acts including Volume Five, Pitney Meyer, and closing sets by The Grascals.
Campers are already arriving at the Starvy Creek grounds, and plenty of spots remain available. Camping prices match those of the summer festival, with 30-amp and 50-amp sites offered. Daily admission is $25 on Thursday and $35 on Friday and Saturday, with three-day passes available for $80. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free with an adult, while youth tickets (ages 12–16) are $10 per day.
Beyond the music, festivalgoers can look forward to a variety of food and treats. “Bubba’s Fish Shack has been with us since the beginning,” McDaris said. “We’ll also have wood-fired pizza, barbecue, pies, and ice cream. My daughter Katie will be back with her coffee stand, offering iced and flavored coffee… She’s even planning on offering pumpkin spice this year.”
The festival takes place at 1933 Bluegrass Road in Conway, with convenient access from I-44. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and no pets, alcohol, or vehicles are allowed in the concert area.
“This is a family-friendly event,” McDaris said. “We’ve got great music lined up, plenty of room for campers, and good food to go with it. It’s a great way to spend a September weekend.”
