White Water is bringing Olympic star power to the Ozarks just in time for Father's Day.
Twelve-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte will make a special appearance at the Branson water park on Tuesday, June 16. Guests can meet the swimming legend from 11 a.m. to noon before he takes on another role for the day — celebrity judge for White Water's first-ever Father Figure Pageant.
The pageant celebrates the dads, grandpas, uncles and father figures who help make family vacations memorable. Contestants will compete in a series of fun events, including a wave pool runway walk, hula hoop challenge and freestyle dance round.
The top three finishers will receive prizes, including tickets to Silver Dollar City and gifts from White Water and Blue Lizard sunscreen.
Lochte is no stranger to the spotlight. During his Olympic career, he won 12 medals, making him one of the most decorated swimmers in Olympic history.
Guests interested in joining the Father Figure Pageant can sign up at the radio booth near the wave pool on the day of the event.
The festivities are included with regular park admission, giving visitors the chance to enjoy White Water's slides and attractions while also meeting one of the greatest swimmers the sport has ever seen.
