Missouri Beef Days 2025: A Celebration of Tradition and Community

Posted

Bolivar, MO – The 4th annual Missouri Beef Days is set for May 3-10 with two preview activities in April. This week-long festival honors the state's rich beef heritage and brings the community together for a series of exciting events.

“This is more than just a celebration of beef; it’s about connecting people, supporting our local farmers, and giving back to the community,” said Katie Roweton, Missouri Beef Days Executive Director. “There’s truly something for everyone, and we can’t wait to see everyone there.”

Showcasing the best in local western style, the annual Fashion Show kicks off the festivities on April 3 with a new location at The Bello Venue in Bolivar. The fun evening promises a display of boots, fringe and cowboy hats. The future of Missouri agriculture takes center stage on April 12 with the Classic Junior Jackpot Show. Come out and support young farmers as they showcase quality livestock at the Polk County Fairgrounds.

The Street Festival & Ag Expo will be held May 3 on the grounds of the Polk County Missouri Museum. This family-friendly day will feature an Ag Expo, beef cook-off competition, cornhole, beer garden, car show, and more.

The first day of activities will conclude with the Boots & Bling Banquet. An exciting "Cowboy Formal" event celebrates all things beef, including the naming of the Missouri Cattleman of the Year. The evening features live and silent auctions with proceeds benefiting local ag-related scholarships, and attendees are encouraged to wear their best western attire.

Cowboy Church at the Diamond S Indoor Arena on May 4 will be led by Pastor Jason Mauck. Special guest for the service will be Gizmo McCracken. McCracken is an award-winning rodeo clown who believes in spreading the gospel through clean fun and songs. The Polk County Cattleman's Association will serve lunch for purchase followed by farm games.

The Beef and Bourbon event on May 7 will showcase the star of Missouri Beef Days - beef - perfectly paired with a carefully selected bourbon. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. at Mulligan’s at Silo Ridge. Tickets are $20.

The second weekend of Missouri Beef Days kicks-off with rodeo action at the Polk County Fairgrounds during the Missouri Beef Day's Rodeo and Rodeo Market on May 8 and 9.

On May 10, a parade celebrates the history of the cattle industry in Polk County. The festival concludes with a concert that evening featuring headliner Red Dirt Country artist Stoney LaRue and opening act Midwest Thick.
