The Marshfield R-I School District will offer a Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program beginning with the 2026–27 school year, district officials announced.
The program’s return is made possible through a commitment from the United States Marine Corps to provide funding for the JROTC program. District leaders said the opportunity will once again give Marshfield students access to leadership training, character development, and career exploration tied to military and civic service.
School officials said they are excited to bring the program back and look forward to the benefits it will offer students across the district. Additional details about enrollment, course offerings, and staffing are expected to be shared closer to the program’s launch.
