Dale P. Lang, of Elkland, appeared in court on Dec. 21 before Judge Hendrickson for sentencing after a jury found him guilty Aug. 22 of two felony counts of first-degree statutory sodomy following a two-day trial and deliberation.
Before the sentencing appearance, Lang and his attorney appeared in court on Oct. 3, attempting to make a motion for a new trial. Their motion was overruled, and the sentencing date was set before the holidays.
After closing arguments from both the Prosecuting Attorney and Lang’s Defense Lawyer were heard, Judge Hendrickson deliberated and delivered Lang's sentencing. For both felony counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, Dale. P Lang was sentenced to life in prison at the Missouri Department of Corrections with the possibility of parole after serving 30 years.
