The Webster County Fair is ready to bring another week of family fun, competition, and entertainment as it returns to the Webster County Fairgrounds beginning June 30.
Fair board member Kevin Cantrell said this year's event will feature something for nearly everyone, from truck and tractor pulls to rodeo action, carnival rides, livestock shows, and a demolition derby.
The fair opened Tuesday, June 30, with the hometown truck and tractor pull. Tuesday's schedule features a sanctioned truck and tractor pull, bringing in more powerful machines and competitors from around the region.
The excitement shifts to the rodeo arena Thursday and Friday when Wooten Rodeo Company takes center stage for two nights of rodeo events.
The fair wraps up Saturday with one of its most popular attractions, the demolition derby, followed by a fireworks display to cap off the celebration.
Throughout the week, visitors can also enjoy livestock shows showcasing local cattle and other fair exhibits. Hulsey Amusements will provide the carnival midway, with unlimited ride armbands available Tuesday through Saturday.
Another highlight this year is the annual pie auction on July 1. Cantrell said all proceeds from the auction will benefit Sweet and Heavenly Peace, continuing the fair's tradition of supporting a local nonprofit organization each year.
The Webster County Fairgrounds are located on Marsh Drive in Marshfield, and organizers are inviting families from across the area to come out and enjoy the festivities.
Cantrell said the fair has long been a summertime tradition in Webster County, bringing together neighbors, exhibitors, volunteers, and visitors for several days of entertainment and community spirit.
Schedules, updates, and additional information are available on the Webster County Fair Facebook page.
"We'll have one heck of a weekend to celebrate," Cantrell said.
