There’s a big change coming at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Deputy Commissioner of Learning Services Kelli Jones is stepping away from her role, bringing to a close a career that touched schools and educators across the state.
Jones said the decision comes with “mixed emotions,” calling her time serving Missouri a journey filled with growth, challenges, accomplishments, and friendships along the way.
She also said she’s thankful for the opportunities she’s had and the relationships built throughout her career.
DESE officials thanked Jones for her years of service and the work she’s done for Missouri students, teachers, and communities. The department also wished her well in the years ahead.
