DEK of Hearts Finishes Third on The Voice, Sets Sights on Rose Parade

Marshfield native Kollin Bailey and his bandmates in DEK of Hearts have wrapped up their run on NBC’s The Voice with a third-place finish, capping off a journey that carried the trio from local stages to a national audience.

Bailey shared his gratitude following the finale, reflecting on the experience and the support that surrounded the group throughout the season.

“It’s honestly overwhelming to think about how the Lord has orchestrated all these small moments in my life that have led me to stop and say, ‘wow, I’m really living the dream,’” Bailey said. “Dreams I didn’t even know were possible. Doors opening that I’m too ignorant to know existed.”

DEK of Hearts, made up of Bailey, Dylan John of Munroe Falls, Ohio, and Emily Cox of Terre Haute, Indiana, earned national recognition during Season 28 of The Voice, beginning with a four-chair turn during their blind audition and continuing through weeks of live performances under coach Niall Horan.

Bailey credited the band’s success not only to opportunity, but to the people behind them.

“I’ve been unbelievably blessed with the most supportive friends, family, and community a person could ask for,” he said. “Thank you for all the messages, encouragement, and for rallying behind us. It truly meant the world.”

The trio finished third overall in the competition, officially placing DEK of Hearts among the top groups in the country this season.

Bailey also praised his fellow bandmates, calling the trio a “dream team” and emphasizing their shared commitment to stewarding the opportunities that have come their way.

“I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else,” he said. “Together we’re trying to handle these moments well.”

Following the finale, Horan encouraged the group by telling them, “It’s an exciting time to be a member of DEK of Hearts,” a sentiment the band echoed as they announced their next major milestone.

With The Voice behind them, the trio is now preparing for their next high-profile appearance, the Rose Parade, marking another step forward in a rapidly accelerating career.

For Marshfield, Bailey’s journey remains a point of hometown pride, tracing a path from local festivals and sold-out community shows to national television and beyond.

Fans can continue to follow DEK of Hearts on all major social media platforms as the group moves into its next chapter.
