On Wednesday, January 22, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Marshfield Police officers served a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue. The search led to the discovery of several drug-related items, including glass pipes, straws, a container with a crystal substance, digital scales, and other paraphernalia.
According to the Marshfield Police Department, the items found during the search field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
As a result of the investigation, authorities arrested Shawn Wiley, who was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Webster County Jail.
Charges were filed on Friday, January 24, for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Amphetamine or Methamphetamine. Wiley is scheduled for an initial appearance in front of Judge Justin Evans on Tuesday, February 18.
