The City of Marshfield and the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG; pronounced: ‘sim-cog’) are excited to present the 2022 update of the Marshfield Transportation Plan for public input. The transportation plan has served as a continuous source of guidance for the city regarding the transportation network and investments since it was last developed in 2009. Moving forward, the Plan will serve as a guide for decision-making and policy implementation that will improve mobility for residents and visitors of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

On October 31, 2022 Gage Herbert Bittner of Hartville entered a plea of guilty to the Class E and D felonies of involuntary manslaughter in the 2nd degree and unlawful possession of a firearm. Bittner was sentenced to 6 and 9 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
