A century in business is something worth celebrating, and Marshfield Chevrolet is doing just that as the dealership marks 100 years of serving the community.

The dealership welcomed customers, friends, and neighbors for a two-day anniversary celebration, complete with giveaways and an opportunity to recognize a milestone that few businesses ever reach.

Marshfield Chevrolet Manager Brandon Mead said the turnout on the first day was encouraging, especially considering many people were still at work.

“It’s actually been a really good turnout,” Mead said. “That’s why we are also hosting it tomorrow as well for those people who can’t make it out today.”

For Mead, the anniversary is about more than selling cars. It’s about the relationships the dealership has built with families over the years.

In fact, it’s not unusual for customers to return for a second or third vehicle, or to recommend the dealership to friends and family.

Mead said that was happening even during the anniversary celebration.

“We literally were selling cars today. Business never stops,” he said.

One customer came in through a referral from someone who had already purchased several vehicles from the dealership.

“Word of mouth just spreads like wildfire,” Mead said. “It’s just been a huge blessing for us.”

That kind of loyalty is something the dealership hopes to continue building as it enters its second century.

Mead said one of the biggest priorities at Marshfield Chevrolet is making sure customers know the relationship doesn’t end when they drive off the lot.

In fact, he believes that’s where it begins.

“We want to make sure that everyone knows that once we do sell them, that’s just the beginning of the relationship,” Mead said.

That includes making sure customers understand their vehicles, answering questions and being available when service is needed.

“If they’ve got a question, they can always pull back in,” he said.

It’s an approach Mead says is emphasized with everyone working at the dealership.

And after 100 years, he believes those relationships remain an important part of the business.

While vehicles, technology, and the way people shop for cars have changed considerably over the past century, Mead says the dealership’s commitment to its customers remains a priority.

For Marshfield Chevrolet, the anniversary is a chance to thank the community for its support and celebrate the generations of customers who have helped the dealership reach this milestone.

And with a century already behind it, the dealership is looking forward to continuing those relationships for years to come.
