This week the Marshfield Mail got to know Ruby Dudley. Ruby is a loan officer at Stockman’s Bank in Marshfield and is the incoming board President for the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Q: What is the most challenging part of your job?
A: Telling people no. It breaks my heart if there is someone in need and I just can’t help them.
Q: What is your favorite part about your job?
A: People! I love people.
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I had no idea. I never knew what I wanted to do. I was never one of those people. I just fell into banking right after high school…worked my way up as a loan officer.
Q: Do you collect anything?
A: I do not. I’m trying to think of something funny-my anxieties. *lots of laughing*
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I do! A little Corgi named Piper. I’ve had her for a little over four years.
Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: *long pause* Online shopping, right now it’s a bunch of kids boutiques.
Q: Who is more spoiled-the kid or the dog?
A: Definitely Tucker (the kid)
Q: What is your favorite appliance?
A: We just got a new washer and dryer and I do love them.
Q: What song are you always singing along to?
A: *laughing* I keep thinking of, Tucker has this little ball that says 'bounce bounce bounce the ball''-that’s in my head right now.
Q: What is the last movie you saw in theaters?
A: Are movie theaters even open anymore? *laughs*
Q: What is the last show you watched?
A: Friends
Q: What is your go-to streaming?
A: Hulu. I’m watching A Million Little Things right now.
Q: What is the coolest place you’ve ever been?
A: We went to Mexico for our honeymoon and it was a dream, there is nothing like a Piña colada on the beach.
Q: What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
A: I’m an open book, I share a lot of personal pieces of information on Facebook throughout my highs and lows.
Q: What is something that you would like your great-great-grandchildren to know about you or be told about you?
A: If I want to be known for anything I hope it would be for my heart and the way that I love. I feel like I have a lot of love to give and I love with all I’ve got.
Q: What is your life motto?
A: It’s fine. I’m fine.
Q: Who has made the biggest impact in your life?
A: My husband and my son. When I met Tyler, he just loved(loves) me unconditionally and I’ve never known that. He has shown me what I deserve in life…then Tuck. I never knew-when you have your own kid you freaking love them. I would do anything for him.
