Missouri Farm Bureau awards grant to Fordland teacher

Posted

Mini-grants by the Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) Foundation for Agriculture have been awarded to educators across the state to enhance student exposure and understanding of agriculture.

This year not only marked the 25th year of the MOFB competitive granting process but a record number of applications were submitted. With a commitment to improving agriculture understanding, the funding allows educators to purchase accurate educational material and consumables to help connect students to the source of items everyone uses every day…farming and ranching.

One Webster County educator stood out among the rest: Becky Haynes. To ensure her students better understand the connection between farming and the various products that result from farmers, Haynes applied for the grant.
