Wayne Cooper and friends will entertain us on June 28 during lunch. Come in and enjoy a musical lunch and meatloaf!
I will continue to fill out applications for the Farmer’s Market vouchers for as long as they last. Please remember to bring proof of ID, income, and residence when you come.
Did you know we save Best Choice UPCs and aluminum cans? We do! So please don’t throw away these valuable items – they are money in the bank to us!
Our menu for the week is June 28 – Meatloaf; June 29 – Chicken Fajitas; June 30 – Soup or Liver and Onions; July 3 – Reuben Sandwich and Tomato Basil Soup; July 4 – Closed for the Fourth of July; July 5 – BBQ Chicken. Thank you, Temple Baptist Church members, for delivering meals this week and First Southern Baptist Church for delivering meals next week.
I want to thank outgoing Board members John Syler, Connie Newton, and Mike Vinehout for all their years of service and dedication to our Senior Center. And I want to welcome Monica Peterson, Craig Dunn, and Robin Rost as new Board Members. Our new officers are Dan Wheeler, President; Dean Rainey, Vice President; Martha Shepard, Secretary; and Don Plevka, Treasurer. Thank you to all of the folks who agree to serve on the Senior Center Board.
We will be closed Tuesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday. No meals will be delivered or served. Happy Birthday, America!
Be sure to visit our “Li’l Library” and “Li’l Pantry” in front of our gazebo. Take what you need, and leave what you can. We appreciate all the folks who help us keep our Li’l Pantry supplied – there are a lot of hungry people out there, and we are proud to be able to help them.
You can reach the Senior Center by calling 417-859-3555 Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. If you call after hours, please leave a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible.
