Marshfield Fire Hosts Training

Posted

Amidst all of the events happening during Cherry Blossom Festival weekend, the Marshfield Fire Protection Department had a display of it’s own at the station located off OO Highway. The fire department hosted an annual extraction training Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to Noon for local area fire fighters and volunteers.

Those in attendance included: two volunteers from the Niangua Volunteer Fire Department, a couple of employees from Cox Air Care, Marshfield Fire Cadets (age ranging from 14-18) and Marshfield Firefighters.

According to Rick Fletcher, fire Captain, extraction training takes place annually and is part of the basic fire training class.
