Chris Halsell has been assigned to Station 6 in Rogersville working on A-Shift.

Ryan Mihalochick has been assigned to C-Shift Station 6.

Austin Ferguson will work A-Shift Station 5.

Brian Rocker (left) was pinned at the latest Rogersville board meeting by his wife. Brian has completed his one year probation and was recently moved to Station 1 on State Hwy 125. Nathan Cleghorn (right) was pinned by his father at the meeting. He has completed his one year probation and is currently assigned as a driver at Station 6.

The Logan Rogersville Fire Protection District has added several new members to the team this quarter. Firefighters Daniel Brown, Chris Halsell, Ryan Mihalochick, Alex White and Austin Ferguson all recently joined up to help with the 160 square miles that the District covers. Brian Rocker, Nathan Cleghorn, Kullen Boyce and Michael Metcalf all recieved their pins following a one year probationary period.

Daniel Brown was hired earlier this year, and recently went on his first call on May 17th. Chris Halsell graduated from Southwest Missouri Regional Fire Academy in May, and was assigned to Station 6 in Rogersville working on A-Shift. Ryan Mihalochick has joined C-Shift at Station 6 working under Captain Chris Westcoat. Mihalochick is also a graduate from the Southwest Missouri Regional Fire Academy.

Austin Ferguson is another graduate of Southwest Missouri Regional Fire Academy. He joins Captain Josh Grasinger for A-Shift a Station 5, begining his career on May 18th. Alex White joined the fire service on May 19th. White graduated from Springfield Training Academy late last year, and has been assigned to work for Captain John Brossman at Station 5.

After a probationary period of one year, firefighters are granted their badge in a celebratory pinning ceremony. Brian Rocker completed his one year probation, and was pinned by his then-pregnant wife. Rocker was assigned to Station 1. His wife went into labor shortly after the ceremony, and his child was born on the same day he received his badge.

Nathan Cleghorn was pinned by father after completing his probation. He will be assigned as a driver at Station 6 in Rogersville. Kullen Boyce, a graduate of the Fire Academy, was pinned by his wife in May. Michael Metcalf was pinned by his father after completing training at the Fire Academy and completing his probation.

Doug Climer, an original fire board member of 40 years, was also recognized with a trophy commemmorating his service to the Logan Rogersville Fire Protection District.

In May, the Logan Rogersville Fire Protection District responded to 10 building fires, 112 medical calls, 20 motor vehicle accidents, 16 fire alarms, and 33 fire related calls for a total of 191 total calls logged.
