Strafford played the Liberty Eagles (Mountain View) Friday, Nov. 4 hoping to advance in Class II districts. However, it was apparent the Liberty Eagles were prepared to beat Strafford on the Eagle's home-turf. Liberty dominated the game with multiple interceptions and successful passes to the end-zone.
At the end of half time, that lethal combination of both strong offensive and defensive plays led to a lopsided score of 39-0. Fans would see the Eagles repeat that combination into the next half.
Strafford did manage to score a touchdown before the clock ran out.
Strafford fell to Liberty 6-47 and officially ended football season for Webster County.
Strafford finished their final game of the season with 229-total yards, 81-passing yards, 148-rushing yards, 3-11 on third-down conversions, 2 turnovers and 2 interceptions.
