Fun Run coming Saturday

The Webster County Health Unit has partnered with the Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival to bring the inaugural Cherry Blossom Boogie Fun Run (or walk, or stroll, or amble) to Marshfield on Saturday, April 30th.

The event, which coincidentally coincides with the Cherry Blossom Festival, promises not only a great time for all participants, but is an awesome way to help support foster youth in Webster County.

Event coordinator, Lisa Tindall, explains “There is no charge to participate in this event, but donations to The Forgotten Initiative can be made to help fund their outreach to this vulnerable population”.

The first 100 participants to register will receive an event t-shirt, and there will be awards for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.

The Cherry Blossom Boogie will take off from and finish at the Webster County Health Unit, 233 E. Washington in Marshfield, at 7:00 am on Saturday, April 30th. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged and can be made in person during normal business hours at the Health Unit, or by emailing ltindall@webstercohealth.com.
