Posted

The city of Fordland will hold its Independence Day celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Festivities will include a parade, live music, vendors, games, and a firework show to end the night.

Folks will want to line up on Main Street or at the park to enjoy the parade, which starts at 5 p.m. Parade participants will begin lining up underneath the highway bridge at 4:30 p.m. The parade route will cut through Main Street and Park street before going around the park, where floats will then disperse.

All parade floats will be competing for a first and second place overall prize for standout attraction in the parade.

Jeff Young’s band, Outlaw Roots of Marshfield will be performing at 6 p.m. at the park following the parade.

According to Outlaw Roots’ website, “You can catch us playing anything from Stonewall Jackson to Hank Williams Jr.."

Parade and festival goers will also be able to enjoy snacks and games through several vendors and food trucks that will fill the park on the 4th.

The celebration will be capped off with fireworks at dusk.
