Groundbreaking at Choices Pregnancy Center
Approximately 100 people gathered on Tuesday, August 15, to participate in a Groundbreaking Ceremony for Choices Pregnancy Center. The new facility, located on Hillside Loop in Marshfield, will soon be under construction, according to Gary Thompson, project manager. “We have been accumulating a Building Fund for some years now, and with the help of our community businesses and donors, we’re ready to begin. Choices Pregnancy Center is a Gospel-centered ministry with a mission to edify, educate, enable, encourage, and equip generations by changing hearts and saving lives. Started in 2012, it is currently located in Marshfield Center on Spur Drive. “We love our location,” said Theresa Clement, Executive Director. “It’s easy to find, and right off the highway, but we outgrew it some years ago. Currently, most administrative tasks are conducted off property, and we are renting storage. Our new facility will enable us to conduct group classes, expand our outreach, bring all operations under one roof, and even be a central hub for satellite offices.”
Choices is supported entirely by donors, according to Valerie Thompson, Board Chairman. “We receive no government help, and depend entirely upon the Lord and our generous community to keep the Center open and expanding. We are grateful that the Lord has brought us to this point, where we are moving forward in building this facility that has been a hope, a dream, and a prayer for some years.”
