Check your lists

Posted

A new year has started and, like clockwork, the people of Webster County will receive a letter from the Assessor’s Office. It may not be everyone’s favorite piece of mail, but it is part of our civic duties as citizens of this place we call home.

“I would like to remind citizens to keep checking their mailboxes, and if they have not received the assessment lists by next week, contact us,” said Webster County Assessor Austin Graybill.

Webster County residents have multiple ways to fill out and return their assessment lists this year.

“We wanted to make getting your list turned in as easy as possible. You can file online, mail it in, or come in person to the office as well,” explains Graybill. “The only thing we do not allow is a phone call because it is not the most accurate way to validate what you have.”

Another option to fill out the assessment is via a QR code. This opinion is only available for individual personal property lists, NOT for businesses. Don’t wait until the last minute. Check the lists and turn them in before Mar. 1. If residents have any questions, they are encouraged to call the Assessor’s office at 417-859-2169 or visit their office between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, located at 101 S Crittenden St, Marshfield, MO.
