The City of Seymour is proud to announce its third annual Jeep Show and Shine on July 15 at Seymour Square, located at 123 W Market St, starting at 4 p.m.

"It's crazy to think it's already been three years, and I think it is going to be even bigger this year," said Seymour's Community Development Director, Terry Penner. "Last year we had well over 125 jeeps, so we are anticipating more this year."

This year's event will host food trucks, live music by Ozarks Travelers, games, and prizes, and close out the festivities with a jeep parade at 7 p.m.

Returning this year at the Jeep show is the Cornhole Tournament which will start at 4:30 p.m. The tournament is limited to 20 two-person teams with a $40 entry fee. To register for the game, contact Penner at 417-425-9589.

"The money raised from the event will be used to help the Seymour Park Board build new bathrooms for the west park," said Penner.

However, registration is not required for those who want to bring their Jeeps to the event.

"We are going to have judges, and there will be 15 different categories." said Penner. "Each category is guaranteed a trophy and prizes worth at least $25. The prizes range from gift baskets donated by local businesses, gift cards, or cash."

There will also be swag bags containing various items donated from the community that will be given to the first 50 Jeeps that show up for the event.

"We want the public to come out," said Penner. "The show is open to everyone and there will be lots of fun stuff to do. So you don't need a Jeep to come out and have fun. Just come enjoy the music, get some good food, help for charity, and just have a great day."
