12th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/Walk

Marshfield, MO - The Webster County Health Unit has a question for everyone looking to fill their Thanksgiving morning. Why trot with the turkeys, when you can come to Marshfield and GOBBLE WOBBLE? This year’s theme is ‘Be Kind To Your Mind’, focusing on mental wellness.

The 12th annual race will start and finish at the Webster County Health Unit, 233 E. Washington in Marshfield, rain, or shine. Start time for the 5k fun event is 8:00 am, with registration beginning at 7:30. To pre-register, registration forms may be found by going to http://webstercohealth.com/gobble-wobble/, visiting the Health Unit’s Facebook page, or in person Monday-Friday from 7:30-4:30.

This year’s event promises to be more enjoyable for young and old alike with a fresh new look and newly designed shirts for the first 100 paid participants. First, Second, and Third place finishers will be handsomely rewarded.

Every penny raised from registration and sponsorships will go to support Webster County school backpack programs. These critically important programs provide healthy foods for children at risk for hunger after school hours and on weekends. What a wonderful way to support the children of Webster County and combat child hunger!

Everyone is welcome to participate. Past participants have included young and old, and from stroller to wheelchair.

Help promote mental wellness and public health on Thanksgiving morning at the Webster County Gobble Wobble. More information may be obtained by calling the Health Unit at 417-859-2532.
