Graveside funeral services for Fannie Lea Buttram were held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Little Vine Cemetery, Niangua. Visitation was held 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Day Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Fannie Lea Buttram, 83, Grovespring, was born July 27, 1934, to Harry Ballard Sr. and Sarah (Kincade) Ballard in Grovespring and died Tuesday, May 22, at Cox Hospital, Springfield.
On July 15, 1950, Fannie was united in marriage to Bill H. Buttram, and to this union, four children were born. Fannie enjoyed gardening with Bill and delighted in sharing with family and friends, making sure nothing went to waste. Fannie and Bill spent a lot of time with friends at the Grovespring Senior Center. Family was very important to Fannie. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Fannie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill H. Buttram; grandson, Michael Loomis; three great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Gloria Luallin and husband Lynn, Springfield, Shelia Loomis and husband Gene, Strafford, Wallace Buttram and wife Gail, Niangua, and Brenda Williams and husband Scott, Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren, Aaron Loomis, Alysha Glen, Bradley Buttram and Jennifer McGuire; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Ballard Jr., Mt. Vernon; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
