With a sheet of ice covering the county over the last few days, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Region 7, which covers Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, is reminding motorists of the importance of vehicle preparation and safe driving practices to reduce accidents and keep everyone safe on the roads. Temperatures are not expected to reach above 32 degrees until at least Thursday afternoon, which could make the slippery driving conditions hang around until it warms back up.
