Top Five Streaming Services

Posted

This week, I decided to have a little fun and give readers a peak at what streaming services I use when doing my movie and show reviews. Of course, these are my personal favorites, the old reliables. So, without delay, here, in no particular order, are my top five streaming services.

1. Netflix- The catalyst, the origin of binge-watching and streaming services. While it has made a few tumbles and not-so-great decisions -cough The Witcher, cough, not advertising what new anime you have cough cough- They are still an excellent go-to platform for countless shows and movies.

2.Disney+- Disney is the hot spot for all classics, such as Cinderella, Mickey Mouse, and The Lion King. Also on the platform are all Marvel and Star Wars. So for all my comic book and sci-fi nerds, you don’t need to go anywhere else unless…

3. HBO Max- Unless you are a fan of DC Comics, such as Superman and Batman. Then you have to go with HBO Max. However, this app also has Turner Classic Movies outside of superheroes, so if you want to relive true film classics like Casablanca, Citizen Kane, or Gone with the Wind, then yeah, this platform is great!

4. Amazon Prime- If you have an Amazon account, you have used their service at least once. I like it for having movies available for rent before some of the other streaming platforms. However, I’m not a fan of the layout, as it feels like I’m in the middle of a mall and have no sense of direction. Still, with movies like Top Gun and shows like The Boys, it is not too shabby.

5. Crunchyroll- I’m an anime nerd, well, a nerd in general, but I love Japanese animation. The characters, fights, and stories are all there, and I’m here to enjoy every moment. There are thousands of shows and movies to check out and if you have ever wanted to watch anime to understand what the younger generation is talking about or expand your horizons, give this a chance.

And that is what I use. I’m looking forward to reviewing more movies, shows, books, games, and so much more this year, and I want to thank you for reading along. I hope you have a good day and a great rest of your shift.
